Cops start counselling drivers in Doda | KNO

DODA,JAN 11 (KNO) : Doda Police has begun counselling sessions for those caught violating traffic rules . The cops conducted the counselling sessions for about 100 persons today at different locations in Bhaderwah and Doda .The police have expressed hope that the data collected from these counselling sessions will help them take informed decisions to bring down number of driving violation cases."We are focussing on offences that pose danger to life like over speeding, driving without helmet, cell phone driving, driving without a licence, driving by minors and driving under the influence of alcohol. We are also focussing on repeat offenders," SSP Doda Mohd Shabir said .At the counselling session, the offenders would be shown road accident visuals and explained about the need to fol low road safety rules. "For first time offenders, we are warn ing them not to repeat the offence, while the repeat offenders were being told that they will be prosecut ed in case of no behav ioural change," Mohd Shabir added.(KNO)
