Srinagar Jan 11 (KNO) : Strongly condemning the killing of a 22-year-old civilian Khalid Ahmad Dar of Ghat Khudwani village at the hands of government forces, Muslim Conference Working President Jahangir Gani Butt said the armed forces in Kashmir are directly targeting civilians and they have virtually waged war against the innocent population of Kashmir and are carrying massacre under a well thought out plan. Jahangir Gani Butt said, though the so-called Chief Minister has ordered the probe in this case as like in she ordered an inquiry in two killings out of 152 civilians killed in 2016 – One of ATM guard in Srinagar killed by CRPF and another lecturer in Khrew by Army, and admitted that excesses was committed and SIT would submit a report in a time-bound manner and the guilty won’t be spared, however, no report of any civilian killing was made public, the probe ordered by government is eyewash and there is no word from either the government or the police about the outcome of these probes. If they are sincere, we demand no further delay in delivering justice for civilians killed in Kashmir. Jahangir Gani Butt further stated that the state government should feel ashamed for allowing different agencies to illegal occupation 4,30,933 kanals of land across the entire state of Jammu & Kashmir. He said the occupation is strengthening its roots in Kashmir which is grave concern for the people of Kashmir, adding, the implementation of UN resolutions can bring end to the occupation and the day to day human rights violations in Kashmir.(KNO)
