The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Inc) have taken a serious note of the eviction notices served to the shopkeepers at the Srinagar International Airport by the Airport authority of India. The KCC&I has taken up the issue formally with the Minister of Civil Aviation through an express written communication and as also at the same time, sought intervention by the Hon’ble Chief Minister in the mater so that interests of the local entrepreneurs are safeguarded. The KCC&I has made it clear that the KCC&I will oppose any such move tooth & nail which is against the interest of the local entrepreneurs. In the meantime a delegation of the KCC&I called on Minister of Tourism, Mr. Tasaduq Mufti today and presented a memorandum in this regard to him. He was requested to take up the issue with the Airport Authority of India at his earliest. (KNO)
