BHADERWAH,JAN 20 (KNO) : With the efforts of the Member Legislative Assembly Bhaderwah Daleep Singh Parihar , the construction work on a 15-km-long stretch on Bhaderwah Gundoh road was finally started after seven years as it was abandoned by the forest department after raised objections , political interference and non availability of funds .After a seven year-long wait, the forest department has given a "no objection" certificate for construction of Bhaderwah Gundoh road 15 Km stretch through forest area . The forest department had earlier refrained from giving its approval fearing the road connectivity for Bhaderwah Gundoh through forest area would disturb the forest area . Not only this the political interference also created the obstacles in the completion of the Bhaderwah Gundoh road . The construction of the Bhaderwah Gundoh road started in 2007 with an aim to connect Bhaderwah directly with Gundoh (Bhalessa ) . Once completed, the road would reduce the distance between Bhaderwah and Gundoh and it will remain only 40 KM . Member Legislative Assembly Bhaderwah Daleep Singh Parihar said, "We had applied for an NOC to the forest department in 2015 but we had not got an NOC from forest department. Now, we have got NOC in this regard only after the intervention of Union Minister in PMO Dr Jatinder Singh , Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Minister for forest Ch Lal Singh ."About 55% of the construction work has been completed by the by Public Works department . Earlier, work came to a standstill due to the shortage of funds , political interference by former government and NOC was not issued by forest department . But a sum of Rs 9.50 is released for earth cutting and three JCBs are on job and total 2 Crore Rs is released which included blacktopping , construction of walls , bridges and other works .MLA Bhaderwah also said, "This Bhaderwah Gundoh road will connect two areas of constituency with each other . It is good news for us. It will prove a milestone for the development of Bhaderwah and Bhalessa area."He said work on Bhaderwah Gundoh road is resume from Rajpura area of Bhalessa from where Jai tourist destination is 15 Km and informed that this road will be bring to Bhaderwah via Manthala and for that government had already released funds and compensation to forest department . He assured that construction work of road will be completed before the month of May .(KNO)
