Police public meetings held in Srinagar, Anantnag | KNO

Srinagar, January 22 (KNO) : In order to strengthen police and public relations, two police public meetings were organized by Jammu and Kashmir Police in Soura area of Srinagar and in Pahalgam area of Anantnag district. In Srinagar, the meeting was held at Police Station Soura which was chaired by SHO Police Station Soura. Respectable citizens of the nearby area participated in the meeting who were welcomed by the chairing officer, besides, the chairing officer thanked the participants for sparing their valuable time. In Anantnag, the meeting was held at Police Station Pahalgam in which respectable persons of Pahalgam area participated. The meeting was chaired by SDPO Pahalgam Shri Javid Iqbal Tabasum accompanied by SHO Pahalgam Shri Shabir Ahmad. During these meetings, the participants highlighted various issues of public importance like drug abuse & other social evils affecting well being of the society. Participants assured their full support & cooperation in fighting against the social evils and crimes. Referring to the issues highlighted by the participants, the chairing officers assured them that the issues pertaining to Police will be solved in shortest possible time and the rest will be taken up with the civil administration for their redressal on priority.(KNO)
