The uncle of incarcerated separatist leader Abdul Samad Inqalabi passed away this morning at his native Ganistan Sumbal area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district. The family alleged that despite repeated pleas, the Jail authorities didn’t allow Samad Inqalabi to participate in the last rites of his deceased uncle Abdul Aziz. The family members of Inqalabi told CNS that Abdul Samad was recently shifted to Srinagar Central Jail from Kathua on the directions of Court. “Inqalabi was thrashed in Kathua Jail as a result his health deteriorated. This is not the first time; he was deprived from participating in the funeral of his dear one. In February 2015, Jail authorities didn’t allow him to give shoulder to the coffin of his father while in 1996, he was even not allowed to celebrate the marriage of his sister,” he said. The family members of Abdul Samad Inqalabi appealed to authorities to release him without any delay.
