23RD January 2018 (KNO) : Chairman Jammu Kashmir liberation front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik who was arrested by police on 19th January 2018 along with another JKLF leader Ghulam Muhammad Bhat and lodged at central jail on a four day judicial remand is still languishing at central jail Srinagar. Police yesterday brought a fresh judicial remand against JKLF chairman and others extending their custody till 27th January 2018. While condemning the prolonging the imprisonment of JKLF chairman, JKLF zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal, has said that on one side are the tall claims of democracy and on the other side Indian rulers and their Kashmiri stooges are busy trampling Kashmiri voices by choking political space, arresting and house arresting resistance leaders, beating and torturing young and old, vandalizing and looting public and private properties, arresting young and old, imposing curfews and restrictions to hamper peaceful political programs which clearly shows that India and its stooges don’t believe in any kind of democracy in Jammu Kashmir and are only busy in suppressing peoples democratic voices by military and police might. Citing the ugly incident of vandalizing a whole locality in Raidwani Kulgam by Indian occupational forces, JKLF president said that in the name of so-called search operations, Indian forces and police attacked a whole locality, burned and looted many residential houses, cars, motor cycles and properties and when this news came via media, police and forces falsely denied it and termed it totally baseless. He said that today in every nook and corner of Kashmir valley, search operations, arrests, attacks on people’s properties, CASO , nocturnal raids and other oppressive measures have become the order of the day and police and forces by calling youth especially those in resistance movement to police stations have made their lives hell. He said that this state terrorism has now crossed all its limits and is highly condemnable. He said that those perpetuating oppressive measures against common Kashmiris should know that according to the law of retribution they will have to reply for their crimes against humanity. Noor Muhammad Kalwal while expressing his heartfelt grief and sorrow over the demise of Abdul Razaq Sheikh of Badroo Yaripora expressed his solidity with his bereaved family especially to his son Ghulam Hassan sheikh. The deceased was the uncle of JKLF leader Assadullah Sheikh. While praying for the heavenly abode of the deceased Noor sahib also prayed for the patience of his bereaved family. While condemning the arrest of a social activist n advocate Choudhry Talib in Jammu for raising his voice for brutally killed innocent girl Asifa in Kuthua, JKLF Zonal president said that this is another face of Indian democracy where a man is arrested for raising his voice in favor of a victim. This is worst police highhandedness which should be condemned by one and all, asserted JKLF zonal president.(KNO)
