Police arrests two drug peddlers in Srinagar | KNO

Srinagar, January 25 (KNO) : A naka was laid by police party of Police Station Lal Bazar at Baghi Ali Mardan Khan Lal Bazar. One Tata Indica car bearing registration No. JK01P-4395 was intercepted and on checking large number of banned Psychotropic Substance Codiene Phosphate (210) bottles were recovered. In this connection two persons namely Mohammad Yousuf Bhat son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Bhat resident of Ahmad Nagar 90 feet Soura and Shabir Ahmad Sheikh son of Ghulam Rasool Sheikh resident of Khanyar Budoo Bagh were arrested. The accused disclosed that they have been involved in selling the narcotic and psychotropic drugs since long and are selling the same among the youth in various areas particularly in District Srinagar. The duo were selling the drugs at exorbitant rates to the youth of the area. In this regard case FIR No 03/2018 under section 8/22 NDPS Act was registered against the duo and investigation was taken up.(KNO)
