Altaf Bukhari visits J&K Yateem Foundation ‘Baitul Hilal’, assures every possible help from Govt | KNO

SRINAGAR, JANUARY 25 (KNO) : Minister for Education, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari today visited the J&K Yateem Foundation’s branch “Baitul Hilal”, Jawahar Nagar which was gutted in a fire incident on January 22 and assured the management for all necessary help by government for welfare of the children who are residing there. The Minister was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Syed Abid Rashid Shah, Director School Education, Kashmir, Dr GN Itoo, CEO Srinagar, Farooq Ahmad Dar and other concerned officials of the education department. Minister distributed books and stationary among all the children of the foundation and also presented cash reward of Rs 25,000 and Rs 10,000 to two students for their outstanding performance in recently declared results for class 10th. He also provided Rs 50,000 for the foundation. On the occasion, Altaf Bukhari announced free admission in Higher Secondary for the students of Baitul Hilal who recently passed matric examinations. He assured that all the possible help for these students will be provided by Education Department. He also complimented the work undertaken by the Foundation for the welfare of orphans.(KNO)
