Navin Kumar Choudhary, Principal Secretary to the Government, Finance Department, announced to donate his award money for social works. In a statement, Navin said, “ I am pleasantly surprised to receive the news of having been conferred State Award for meritorious public services along with other much more deserving colleagues. We all are expected to work hard with dedication and professional excellence. Nevertheless, this recognition has humbled and made me more determined to do my best in coming months and years.” “ This award also carries a cash reward. Recognizing that the cash award would come out of public exchequer I have decided to donate it to two organisations in equal parts. First is the school for disabled run by Javed Tak and his colleagues in Bijebehara, Islamabad and second one is Neha Ghar, Jammu run by AASHI, an organization run by former IAS officer Sushma Choudhary and her committed colleagues,” he added. Earlier, the government decides to recognize Navin and six other bureaucrats for meritorious service on 69th Republic day. He will get a cash award of Rs. 51,000/-, a Medal, and Citation from Governor.
