BHADERWAH,JAN 31 (KNO) : Three -day football tournament under Khelo India, sponsored by Government of India and organised by the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), concluded at Bhaderwah , here today.The final of girls' and boys under-17 event won by Athkar Public High School , Sartingal ,Bhaderwah , under 19 boys won by Govt Hr Sec School Sartingal and under 19 girls won by Govt Hr Sec School , girls Bhadewah .and principal of the school Sudesh Manhas and students were felicitated by the ZPEO on the occasion .Speaking on the occasion sports officers Abdul Haq said Khelo India revolves around three objectives to identify talents from grass-root level, to help create sports infrastructure and to prepare sports persons to win medals in the international events/arenas as making International mark in the field of sports has a great bearing on the national moral and prestige.He urged upon the participants to participate effectively to translate ‘our dream’ to promote a sporting culture among the younger generation to make it a reality. Majid Wani, Aftab Alam , Sajid Sarmadi ,Murtza Qadir , Reeta Devi , Rajni Devi , Tariq Mehmood , Jai Kumar and other sports officers of various zones were also present on the occasion .The competition held under the overall supervision of Zonal Physical Education Officer (ZPEO) Bhaderwah Pritam Singh .(KNO)
