JAMMU, FEBRUARY 01 (KNO) : The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission has dispelled the rumors regarding postponement of the Combined competitive Examination (KAS Mains 2016).The posts were advertised vide notification No PSC /Exam /2016/52 dated 18.6.2016 read with Notification No PSC/Exam /2017/59 The combined competitive main examination -2016 is scheduled to be held from February 15th, 2018 and the candidates have been informed to download their admit cards from the official website jkpsc.nic.in from February 2,2018 Official spokesperson of the Commission said that the Commission has taken strong note of the fake order regarding postponement of exams which has been shared on social media by some miscreants. The case has been referred to the Cyber Cell of the J&K Crime Branch for investigation. If any person is found involved in the case by the Crime Branch, a stern action shall be taken against the person and he/she shall be barred by the Commission in all the future examinations/services including the forthcoming Combined Competitive (Main) Examination -2016. It has also been informed that LPA in the case OWP No 1207/2017 titled Hidayat Ahmad Mir &Ors Vs State & ors pertaining to the matter of 429 candidates who as per the revised result of Preliminary exam issued vide notification No PSC/Exm/2017/44 dated 9.8.2017 could not make it in the cut off list, is pending before the Hon’ble High Court and the Commission shall abide by the directions of the Hon’ble court in this regard. The Commission has also asked the concerned candidates not to pay heed to any rumors and for seeking clarification regarding any notification or matters related to admit card ,examination centres etc they should refer to the official website jkpsc.nic.in.(KNO)
