7 gamblers arrested in Bandipora | KNO

Srinagar, February 01 (KNO) : Bandipora police arrested seven gamblers and seized stake money of Rs 32,230 from the gambling spot. Acting on a tip off, Police party of Police Station Sumbal under the supervision of SDPO Sumbal Shri Sheikh Tahir Amin accompanied by SHO Sumbal Shri Parvaiz Ahmad raided a gambling site at Markundal and arrested seven gamblers identified as Ghulam Nabi Najar son of Mohd Akbar resident of Naidkhai, Javid Ahmed Bhat son of Rajab Bhat resident of Prang Madwan, Mudasir Ahmed Dar son of Mohd Abdullah Bhat resident of Naidkhai, Fayaz Ahmed Dar son of Sonaulah Dar resident of Naidkhai, Habib-ul-lah Malla son of Ghulam Mohd Malla resident of Markundal, Abdul Gani Dar son of Mohd Ramzan Dar resident of Sumbal and Abdul Rashid Mir son of Ghulam Ahmad Mir resident of Naidkhai. Stake money of Rs 32,230 and gambling cards were seized from the gambling site. A case FIR number 14/2018 under section 13 Gambling Act was registered and investigation was taken up.(KNO)
