7 Gamblers arrested in Srinagar, stake money recovered | KNO

Srinagar, February 03 (KNO) : SHO Police Station Lal Bazar Shri Riyaz Ahmad Khan under the supervision of SDPO Hazratbal Shri Rameez Rashid Bhat raided a gaming site near Bus Stand Lal Bazar and arrested seven gamblers Mehraj-ud-din son of Ab Karim Mundoo resident of Nowshara, Shabir Ahmad son of Gh Nabi resident of Soura, Bilal Ahmad Najar resident of Bandipora, Aijaz Ahmad rather son of Gh Mohammad Rather resident of Nowshara, Taufiq Ahmad Sofi son of Gh Ahmad Sofi resident of Bandipora, Mohammad Rafiq son of Bashir Ahmad Sofi resident of Soura and Shahid Ahmad Chota son of Bashir Ahmad resident of Lal Bazar. The stake money of Rs 15,160 and playing cards were seized from their possession. In this connection Case FIR No.04/2018 under section 13 Gambling Act was registered and investigation was taken up.(KNO)
