Hurriyat (G) Reiterates Demands For Return Of Remains Mortal Of Maqbool Bhat & Afzal Guru | KNO

Srinagar, February 09 (KNO) : All Parties Hurriyat Conference while reiterating the demand for the return of mortal remains of both Mohammad Maqbool Bhat and Mohamad Afzal Guru, said, although it is purely a human issue, India is very reluctant to this demand thereby violating all the principles of ethics and human values. Strongly criticizing state administration for clamping curfew like restrictions, curbs, crackdown against resistance leaders and arresting Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, Haji Ghulam Nabi, Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar, Mohammad Ashraf Laya, Bilal Sidiqee, Mohammad Yusuf Naqash, Mohammad Yasin Ataie, Omar Adil Dar, Syed Imtiaz Haider, Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, Bashir Ahmad Chohan and Sajjad Ahmad Pala and scores of other activists, said that state authorities will have to face people’s wrath and resentment and all these arbitrary arrests is synonymous to disrespect for our brave hearts, Hurriyat said. Seeking the mortal remains of Mohammad Maqbool Bhat and Mohammad Afzal Guru, Hurriyat Conference said that nation today pays homage to the valiant son of soil & while referring to last letter written by Shaheed Mohammad Afzal Guru, Hurriyat Chairman said that it clearly illustrates that he was an ideological person and his emotions were having the backing of faith, intellect and conscience. Hailing Mohammad Afzal Guru for his valour and commitment, Hurriyat said that he emerged as an ideal, symbol of dedication and commitment. Hurriyat Conference said that they sacrificed their precious lives for the better future of the nation. He is an ideal and his determination and dedication set precedence for our young generation. Today on his 5th anniversary prayer ceremony was organized to pay tribute to our hero, however state authorities laid curbs, restrictions and arrested hundreds of political activists. We strongly condemn police action and it is sheer bullying and highhandedness, said Hurriyat. Warning Indian authorities for their oppressive and suppressive measures, Hurriyat further said that all these arbitrary measures won’t deter us from pursuing our mission, nor we will forget those valiant sons who have sacrificed their precious lives for a sacred cause & our better tomorrow. India with its military might is desperate to suppress our mission but despite all this our next generations is more determined, vigilant and sensitive enough about freedom movement, said Hurriyat Conference.(KNO)
