PDP committed for Kargil's development on all fronts : Madni | KNO

Peoples Delegations meet party leaders, submit demands

Jammu, Feb 11 (KNO) : The senior Vice President of the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday reiterated the party stand of ensuring equitable development in all the regions of the state and stated that the mega developmental projects initiated in Kargil will pave way for overall region's overgrowth and prosperity. While interacting with peoples' delegation from Kargil, at party head office in Jammu, Madni said the PDP has always been striving to ensure equitable growth for all the three regions- Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh and has taken several landmark measures in this regard. On this occasion senior party leaders including General Secretaries Ved Mahajan, Peerzada Mansoor Hussain, Chairman Legislative Council Haji Anayat Ali, Hon’ble Minister Naeem Akhtar, Rajinder Manhas, Mr Charak, and others were also present. Madni stated that the Government is seriously pursuing its agenda of ensuringspecific developmental needs of Ladakh region in view of its limited connectivity. He added that the construction of Zojila tunnel on Srinagar-Kargil road will put the region on the top of the developmental map of the state and will provide major relief for the people. Madni said the government has prioritized to expedite the work and complete it early. The delegation also presented a memorandum to the PDP vice- President, urging him to take steps for the creation of separate security wing for Ladakh region, suitable Transfer Policy for police personal belonging to Ladakh, Strengthening of Kargil-Leh Traffic police Range. The delegation also submitted the demand for the suitable Transfer Policy for Assistant Professors, posting of Principal at GDC Kargil, Up gradation of Schools, besides other issues. Madni giving patient hearing to the demands, stated that the issues will be raked up on priority for their early redressal. Madni also welcomed youth from Raipur Domana who joined the party large number and were led by Kuldeep Raj Manhas. Welcoming the new youth members into the party fold, urging them to work at the grassroots to strengthen the party and help creating a better future for the state. (KNO)
