14 Feb Islamabad (KNO) : Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement Chairman Zaffar Akber Bhatt held a meeting with Sarder Masood khan ,President of Azad Kashmir at Kashmir house Islamabad Pakistan .During the meeting both the leaders discussed the long-standing issue of Kashmir.
Zaffar said that durable peace in South Asia is not possible without permanent settlement of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris' aspirations, said that India was using military might to suppress the ongoing freedom movement of the Kashmiri people but had totally failed to succeed in its. he said Pakistan played an important role in raising the Kashmir dispute at international forums like the United Nations (UN) and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC),according to statement Zaffar termed Pakistan’s support for the Kashmir cause based on moral, political and diplomatic levels as historic. Stated that Pakistan wanted to resolve Kashmir issue through talks. He said the people of Kashmir also wanted to settle the issue through dialogues, adding the settlement of Kashmir dispute pivotal for maintenance of durable regional peace. He said Kashmiris were rendering sacrifices for the cause of freedom from decades. On the occasion Sarder Masood reiterated that, political leadership and people of Pakistan is committed to its principle stand on the issue. He called for resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN resolutions, said that Pakistan will continue its morale, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people, adding Kashmiris should be given right of self-determination.
Zaffar said that Pakistan’s moral and diplomatic support for Kashmir’s right of self-determination would boost the morale of Kashmiris. He said that the Kashmiris would continue their just struggle for self-determination.
Also said that Kashmiri people respect Pakistan’s principle stand on Kashmir . Salvation movement vice chairman Altaf Ahmad bhatt, Tufail Ahmad and renowned journalist Fahadullah dar was also present during the meeting.(KNO)
