Dir Health appreciates operative team, hospital administration | KNO

Pulwama Feb 14 (KNO) : District Hospital Pulwama performed first ever successful Radical Nephrectomy on a 50 year old male patient. The patient presented with incidental diagnosis of left renal mass on USG. Patient was advised CECT Abdomen and Pelvis. CECT revealed a heterogeneously enhancing huge mass measuring around 9×8 cm arising from lower and mid pole of the kidney. Radical Nephrectomy was performed by a team of doctors.

The patient is recovering well & has been discharged. The Operative team headed by Urologist Dr. Ashiq included Senior Surgeon Dr. Ayub, Dr. Iffat Dr. Naseer (Anaesthetist) and Mr. Nasir Pandit along with OT staff. Director Health Services, Kashmir, Dr. Saleem ur Rehman while appreciating the operative team and hospital administration said that the scope of delivering advance health care services in the peripheries is increasing and the department is focused on augmenting the logistics & human resource for better patient care.(KNO)
