In distressing times, Traffic on the 300-km-long Srinagar-Jammu National highway, connecting Kashmir valley with the rest of the world remained suspended for the third consecutive day on Wednesday due to fresh landslides. Reports state hundreds of vehicles remained stranded at different places on the highway. However, some passengers covered the landslide-hit area on foot to reach their destinations after boarding other vehicles. An official said that fresh landslides have hit the Srinagar-Jammu highway near Kheri in Udhampur district. He said that clearance work at Anokhifall is going on.
