Trooper who foiled Fidayeen attack rewarded in Srinagar | KNO

The Indian Para-military trooper who foiled a possible Fidayeen attack in the heart of Srinagar city was rewarded by Director General Central Reserve Police Force at a function today. Ghait Raaghunath, the CRPF trooper on Guard duty opened fire when he observed the movement of two armed militants at around 4:30 of Feb 12 morning.

The militants who took position in a building near the camp were neutralized after 28 hours gun battle. To felicitate Raghunath, CRPF organized a function at STC Humhama where Director General CRPF RR Bhatnagar presented a reward to him. Bhatnagar hailed the role of alert trooper and said that it was his alertness that prevented a suicide attack.
