Srinagar, February 18 (KNO) : Sopore Police has arrested two drug peddlers and recovered about 01 kilogram of charas from their possession. Acting on a specific information, a police party of Police Post Fruit Mandi Sopore headed by In-Charge Police Post Fruit Mandi Dr. Yasar Mehmood laid a naka at Fruit Mandi Crossing.
During naka checking, a Tavera vehicle bearing registration number JK03C/ 6054 was intercepted. On checking about one Kilogram of charas was recovered from the possession of two persons identified as Ghulam Qadir Malik son of Ghulam Nabi Malik resident of Tahab Pulwama and Gowhar Ahmad Mir son of Ghulam Nabi Mir resident of Khellan Pulwama. Both the persons were arrested and the vehicle has been seized.
A case FIR number 33/2018 under section 8/22 NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Sopore and investigation of the case is going on.(KNO)
