Need to devote our energies for everlasting Kashmir resolution : Prof Bhat | KNO

Srinagar, Feb 23 (KNO) : Former APHC Chairman and Muslim Conference President Prof Abdul Gani Bhat while addressing a gathering at Naid Khai Sonawari has said due to a change in the political dynamics it has become inevitable to form a road map so that the confrontation bring to an end.

Prof Bhat said instead of being enslaved to negative approach there is high need to look for a bright full political future so that we can resolve the issues pertaining on a positive note. He said the people of Kashmir have rendered numerous sacrifices which can bear fruits only after we introspect and devote our energies for an everlasting resolution.

He said if tangible steps are not taken to move for a rightful direction the day is not far away we will land into a type of devastation where it would be most difficult to comeback, adding, the people who preferred to not maintain status quo viz a viz to address their problems have to bear more trouble. Prof Bhat cautioned that the world powers overtly or covertly have linked themselves with Kashmir issue, therefore in case of minor confrontation there is always a chance of war.

He said it is responsibility of every soul to act above the political ideologies and contribute for a road map which can lead us to peace and prosperity. Prof Bhat maintained that the everlasting Kashmir issue is key to peace in South Asia as such it is responsibility of India and Pakistan to device a mechanism to resolve Kashmir issue as early as possible.(KNO)
