Market checking held in Bhaderwah, fine recovered | KNO

BHADERWAH,FEB 26 (KNO) : On the directions of District Magistrate Doda , Bhuwani Rakhwal , a team of Municipal Committee Bhaderwah in collaboration with Police department led by Dinesh Chander Antahal Executive Megistrate (Naib Tehsildar) conducted a surprise checking of markets within the limits of municipality.

During the checking 10 Kg of banned polythene carry bags were seized on spot from the erring shopkeepers.Approximately 20 Kg rotten vegetables were also destroyed on spot.The total of Rs 5300/- was recovered as Municipal compound fine from shopkeepers for using polythene carry bags,Botchers and chicken sellers for unhygienically exposing dressed meat and from vegetable and fruit vendors for possession of rotten leafs and fruit and for encroachment of footpaths.The violators were further warned to shun such type of activities and obey municipal laws in letter and spirit.

The samples were also lifted under Food Safety & Standards Act to check the quality and other parameters.Residents of Bhaderwah hailed Executive Officer MC Bhaderwah Mohd Ashraf Zargar and Bhaderwah administration whuich included police department for conducting market checking in markets.(KNO)
