Tourism deptt organises workshop on Solid waste management | KNO

JAMMU, JANUARY 26 (KNO) : Department of Tourism organised a workshop on Solid Waste Management today with an aim to create awareness about clean and environment friendly practices in Tourism Management.

Director Tourism, Jammu Smita Sethi in her welcome address highlighted the importance of the issue Expert from Team Raahat, Ram Prasad delivered an informative lecture on various aspects of eco-tourism and necessary conditions for achieving garbage free sustainable tourism on the Models of Kerala and other states.

Threadbare interactions were held on practical and real-time solutions to the problems related to Solid Waste Management during the session. All the officers from Department of Tourism, C.E.Os of Tourism Development Authorities among other stakeholders were present on the occasion.(KNO)
