A complete shutdown is being observed in Hajin and adjoining areas of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday against the killing of a LeT militant in a gun battle on Monday in Hajin.
Witnesses told KR that all shops, business establishments and education institutions are shut to mourn the death of a militant who succumbed to his injuries during night. Sources said that a non local militant identified as Abu Harris was injured yesterday during a brief gunfight. His dead body was brought by militants and kept near a local graveyard for burial, where from locals picked him up in the morning.
Meanwhile women in large numbers also participated in slain militant’s funeral procession before he was laid to rest in a local graveyard amid slogans. (KR)
