SHOPIAN, FEBRUARY 27 (KNO) : District Development Commissioner Shopian Mohammad Aijaz today flagged off a group of 17 farmers on 7-day exposure- cum- training tour to Ludhiana and Punjab from Mini Secretariat Arhama Shopian. The exposure tour has been organized by the Agricultural Department Shopian under centrally sponsored scheme Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA).
During the exposure tour, the farmers would visit different agricultural universities, laborites and farms like Olive Farm Ramban, SKUAST Jammu, Punjab Agriculture University, and Ludhiana and would undergo training in latest innovative agricultural technologies for progressive farming.
Sharing details of the tour, Chief Agricultural Officer Shopian said that the aim was to educate farmers about the latest innovations and technologies used by the farmers in other states.(KNO)
