JAMMU / BHADERWAH FEB 28 (KNO) : The Central Government today approved new National Highways Chenab valley of Jammu and Kashmir, which would spread vast road network and improve road connectivity in the in hilly area , which has extremely poor road network. The new Highways would link Thatri -Kahaljugasar -Kilohtran Chachool with Himichal Pradesh via Tunnel . “The Centre Government has communicated its approval to the State Government on construction of new Highways in Chenab valley of Jammu region .
It will be 100 per cent Central funding for the Highway projects, which will be constructed by the National Highway Authority of India subject to outcome of DPR preparation ,” MLA Bhaderwah Daleep Singh Parihar told the this media person .Last year Central government approved the status of NH to Bani Bhaderwah and Doda road and now another National Highway within the jurisdiction of Bhaderwah constituency is a big achievement for me and i am great full to Nitin Jairam Gadkari Minister for Road Transport & Highways for fulfilling my long pending demand .
He also said that the Centre wants to complete work on the Highways as early as possible to improve and strengthen road network in the State adding since all these roads have been declared as National Highways, the Centre will bear entire cost of their construction. MLA said one by one he is full filling all promises made with the people of Bhaderwah constituency and expressed hope soon DPR of the project will be prepared .It is also notable to mention here that in year 2015 centre announces 8 new Highways for J&K.
