Police public meetings held in Srinagar, Pulwama | KNO

Srinagar, March 01 (KNO) : Srinagar police has organized three police public meetings at Police Station Soura, Sadder and SDPO Office West Srinagar. The meetings at Soura and Sadder were chaired by the respective SHO’s while at SDPO Office West, the meeting was chaired by SDPO West Shri Furkan Qadir. In Pulwama, the meeting was held at SP Office Pulwama. In Srinagar, a large number of respectable citizens of the area falling under their jurisdictions participated in these meetings.

The participants has lauded the role of Srinagar Police against drug abuse and other social crimes and hoped that police will work more vigorously to uproot the drug menace from the society. The participants highlighted various issues of public importance and other issues related to civil administration. Referring to these issues highlighted by the participants the chairing officers assured them that issues pertaining to police will be solved in shortest possible time and the rest will be taken up with the civil administration for their redressal on priority. In Pulwama, respectable citizens including local Auqaf of village Pattipora and Lassipora participated. During the meeting, the participants were requested to shun their old differences over some local issue for which a number of cases stands registered in PS Pulwama against two local rival groups during the past few years.

The participants were also requested to maintain peace and tranquility in the area. The people appreciated the role of police and assured their full cooperation.(KNO)
