Police requests news portals not to content ‘inflammatory’ content about Arab countries | KNO

Jammu Kashmir Police today requested news portals to avoid publishing content about some happenings in Syria that has potential to create sectarian tensions in Kashmir Valley. A police hand out reads that: “some news portals have updated a statement issued by an organization regarding some happenings in an Arab country.

There is every apprehension that publishing or updating such statements can flare up the passions and may cause sectarian tensions in State particularly in Kashmir Valley.”

“News portals are requested to avoid publicizing such statements that may lead to disturbances in public order,” the statement reads.
