Srinagar (KNO) A police official said that restrictions were imposed in areas falling under the jurisdiction of six police stations in Srinagar on Monday to prevent protests against the killing of Shopian youths who got killed in an shoot out by army yesterday late evening. Restrictions have been imposed in the areas of Khanyar, Rainawari, Nowhatta, M.R.Gunj, Safakadal and partial restrictions in Maisuma and Kralkhud areas. Heavy police and paramilitary forces in full riot gear have been deployed in Srinagar and few places in South KashmirRolls of razor fitted concertina wire have been placed at traffic crossings to disallow vehicular movement. Pedestrian movement is being allowed only in emergencies from and into these areas. All collages and schools had been closed all exams also had been postponed train service also has been suspended by the authorities ahead of strike call given by JRL.(KNO)
