No incidents of clashes or shutdown in the Downtown area of Srinagar : Police | KNO

Srinagar, March 06 (KNO) : Some news portals and groups have been circulating fake news item regarding shutdown and clashes in Downtown area of Srinagar today.

Those news agencies have not sought any confirmation or verification from the concerned quarters regarding the authenticity of the contents and nothing like that has been witnessed anywhere in downtown area, with the result public is being mislead for unknown reasons by some unknown agencies. It is as such clarified that there have been no incidents of clashes or shutdown in the Downtown areas of Srinagar city today, however few miscreants pelted stones at some private vehicles on the run at Nallamar road in the morning but due to timely action by concerned police, miscreants were chased away and traffic was restored instantly.

All the shops and business establishments are running hassle free and there have been no incidents of clashes in the area since then.(KNO)
