Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief Mehmood Shah has paid tribute to Commander Waqas of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) who was killed in an encounter in Shopian on Monday and said the “dark days” will be over soon. “The pure blood of martyrs will light the way to freedom. Commander Waqas fulfilled his duty, we have to carry on this mission forward,” Lashkar spokesperson Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi in a statementCquoted outfit chief Mehmood Shah as saying. Supporting the ‘Shopian Chal’ call issued by the joint resistance leadership (JRL), LeT chief said, “Indian forces imply upon the draconian laws.

Till the black laws like AFSPA are in place, the human rights will continue to be violated by Indian forces.” “The human rights organizations must take notice of the atrocities committed by Indian forces on innocents. Unfortunately, no one is speaking up against such vicious acts. This is the hour of unity and harmony. The Hurriyat leaders must guide the nation.

The Mujahideen will continue to play their part under all circumstances,” Lashkar chief added.
