Asiea Naqash inaugurates surgical camp, retina care services camp at Rotary Eye Hospital Udh | KNO

UDHAMPUR, MARCH 12 (KNO) : Minister of State for Health & Medical Education, Asiea Naqash today inaugurated the surgical camp and retina care services camp at Rotary Eye Hospital, here today.

This free surgical camp was organized by Rotary Eye and General Welfare Foundation, KLSM Rotary Eye and ENT Hospital and Rotary Club Udhampur. Director Family Welfare MCH and Immunization, Dr. Sameer Mattu, Deputy Director, Schemes Health Department Dr. Dimple Singh, Chairman Udhampur Rotary Eye and General Welfare Foundation, RTN D.N Sharma, Dr Harjit Rai, Nodal Officer NHM, Dr. Supriya Kohli, RTN. Rajendra Sanson besides other officers of different departments, members of Rotary Club Udhampur were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister appreciated the efforts of KLSM Rotary Eye and ENT Hospital and Rotary Club for bringing this hospital with necessary services to the people of the area. She assured full support to the organization in future so that poor people of the area may not lose their vision for lack of eye care facility. She said that the government is committed to provide quality healthcare facilities to the people of the state. In this regard all Government hospitals are been upgraded with latest techniques, infrastructure facilities to provide best possible health care to the people.

The Minister also inspected various wards in Rotary Eye and General Welfare Foundation, Eye and ENT Hospital and Rotary Club Udhampur. Later, several deputations of local people met with the Minister and apprised her of their genuine problems and demands including setting up of cancer institute, posting of medical staff on vacant posts in PHCs, supply of emergency drugs and medicines in PHCs at Tikri, Garhi, Rehmbal etc. She gave patiently hearing to the demands and assured for resolving all their concerns in a phased manner on priority basis.(KNO)
