Police public meetings held in Budgam, Shopian | KNO

Srinagar, March 13 (KNO) : In order to strengthen the police public relations, two Police Public meetings were organized by Budgam police at Police Station Chrar-i-Sharief and Shopian Police.

These meetings were convened by SDPO Chrar-i-Sharief Shri Ali Mohammad Dar in Budgam and SP Shopian Shri Shriram Ambarkar in Shopian. In Budgam, a large number of respectable citizens of Chrar-i-Sharief and adjacent areas participated in the meeting and in Shopian the respectable citizens of Shopian town participated. During the meeting at Budgam, various issues and problems were discussed like scarcity of electricity/ water etc. Besides, the participants were demanding fencing of the Shrine at Chrar-i-Sharief on priority. While in Shopian, the drug menace remained the main focus of the interaction, besides other problems were also discussed during the meeting. A counseling session was also held in Shopian where many chronic stone pelters of the area were counseled. SP Shopian directed all his officers to be prompt and efficient in public services delivery system.

The officers present during these meetings heard the grievances of the participants patiently and assured the participants that issues pertaining to police will be sorted out on priority and issues pertaining to civil administration will be forwarded to concerned authorities for their early redressal.(KNO)
