3- DAY SPORTS FESTIVAL CONCLUDED AT DODA | KNO

DODA , MAR 15 (KNO) : With the objective of harnessing the talent of youth in sports activities and to Strengthen Police Public relations. Three-day sports festival was organised at Dessa Doda under civic action programme 2017/18 by Police Station Dessa under the Supervision of Dysp Hqtrs Doda Iftkhar Ahmed.

Sports Events like Volleyball, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Carrom and Throwball/Shot Put were played in this festival.About 20 teams from Ghai Dessa and adjoining area participated in the festival.. Final matches of Volley Ball, Kabaddi, Carrom, Kho-Kho and Short Put were played which were witnessed by the huge gathering from Gai and adjoining areas. The Final match of the Volley Ball were played between the teams of Bhagwah and Gai.

Which was won by Bhagwah. The match of Kabaddi were played between team Dander and Dessa which was won by Dander. The match of Carrom were played between Surya Club and Arjun Club which was won by Surya Club, The Match of the Kho-Kho was played between Govt. HSS Dessa and Gai which was won by Govt. HSS Dessa.

About 20 players participated in the in shot put event also.Uniforms kits, Trophies, along with Certificates and Cash Prizes were distributed among the winner/runners of the teams by SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir and DySP Hqrs Doda Iftkhar Ahmed.On the occasion, SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir stressed on the importance of sports activities in the life of a person especially youths. Sports activities keep them physically and mentally fit to achieve desirous progressive goals. Besides it also keep them away from social evils like drug abuse and other.People appreciated the role of Doda Police in organizing such sports event in far flung like Dessa. (KNO)
