IGP AP/Armed visits APC Parihaspora | KNO

Srinagar, March 17 (KNO) : A free medical camp was organized by IRP 20th Bn in collaboration with Director Health Services Kashmir and a team of specialist Doctors from District Baramulla.

This free medical camp was meant for the general public of surrounding villages of APC Parihaspora and the officers/jawans of IRP-3rd, IRP-9th & IRP-20th Battalions. IGP AP/IRP Kashmir Shri Shafkat Ali Watali alongwith Director Health Services Kashmir Shri Saleem-ur-Rehman inaugurated the Medical Camp.

The team consisting of specialist Doctors of Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Cardiology, Psychiatry, General Surgery, General Medicine, ENT, Dentistry & Dermatology checked hundreds of needy villagers and the Police personnel. Diagnostic facilities like USG, ECG, X-ray & Blood tests were also made available on spot free of cost. On the occasion, IGP AP/IRP Kashmir Sh. Shafkat Ali Watali while addressing the general public and police personnel, highlighted the role of Police in organizing different activities for the welfare/benefit of common people. Commandant IRP-20th Battalion Shri Baqar Samoon in his speech thanked Director Health Services Kashmir & other dignitaries of Health department for their cooperation in organizing the medical camp.

CMO Baramulla Dr. Bashir Ahmad Chalko, BMO Pattan Dr. Manzoor Ahmad and other senior officers of these units were also present on the event After conclusion of the Medical Camp, IGP visited the Armed Police Complex and took stock of the developments/facilities available to the officers/Jawans of the three units stationed at APC Parihaspora. Shri Baqar Samoon apprised IGP AP/IRP Kashmir about the progress made in preparation of shadow Character Rolls of officers/Jawans of the unit as per PHQ directions and a number of shadow Character Rolls were distributed among the unit Personnel by the Chief Guest in a separate function held at Battalion Hqrs (KNO)
