Seminar on protection of women’s rights held at Srinagar | KNO

SRINAGAR, MARCH 17 (KNO) : Speakers at a seminar here Saturday while deliberating on various conventional and contemporary issues being faced by women called for gender parity and measures for the protection of Women’s rights. The seminar titled ‘Equal Rights and Equal Opportunities – A Way Forward for Women Development’ was held at S P College here today which was organized by Women’s Development Cell in collaboration with Educational and Cultural Activities Committee of the College.

Prof. (Dr.) Parveen Pandit Principal, IASE, Srinagar was the chief guest on the occasion. Sataria Farah Amin, Founder and Director, ISK, Srinagar and Sana Mattoo, Freelance Photo Journalist were special guest speakers. Speakers laid emphases on understanding the role of women in the world and highlighted the importance of providing equal opportunities to them.(KNO)
