Srinagar  (KNO) : Scores of Aganwadi Workers and Helpers assembled here in Pratap Park Srinagar and chanted slogans in favour of their demands and against the Government. The protesters were demanding government to hike their monthly honorarium, fixation of final seniority lists.

They were protesting under the banner of Anganwari Helpers and Workers Association Jammu And Kashmir. Aganwadi workers and helpers on Wednesday again staged protest and blocked road in the heart of the city at Lal Chowk. While taking with Mymoona Nazki President of said association she told Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that we are protesting here from last 25 days but there is no response from the authorities its very unfortunate that we get only 600 honorarium while other counterparts in other states get Rs four to five thousand from their government said Mymoona Nazki.

60000 workers across the Jammu And Kashmir state are on strike if our demand got fulfilled by the Government soo why we will do protest and hit on streets yesterday concerned minister told us to withdrawn the strike your demands will be fulfilled but we denied it because we don’t have trust on it if they really want to fulfill our demand they should provide us it in written order or make announcement of it through media till that none of announcement had came from the side of government and nor anykind of our genuine demand got fulfilled yet.

She also demanded retirement incentives many of us are widows and where will we go after retirement and we need pension after our retirement soo that we can live our life smoothly. Mymoona Nazki threatened that if our demands will not fulfilled we will lock down the offices and our strike will be continued till our demands will not be fulfilled.
