Education plays key role in overall personality dev of the students : Lal Singh | KNO

KATHUA, MARCH 25 (KNO) : Stressing on the need for imparting quality education to the students, Minister for Forests, Ecology and Environment Choudhary Lal Singh today said that Government has taken several initiatives to bring education at the doorstep of students, especially in the remote areas of the State, adding that it is the endeavors of the present dispensation to ensure further improvement in the education setup.

Speaking after inaugurating Chapter of Vidyamandir Classes here at Kathua, the Minister said that education plays a key role in the development and overall personality of the students therefore, “this sector is the prime focus area of the Government”, he added.

Choudhary Lal Singh called for concerted efforts by parents and teachers to ensure quality education to children helping them to become a responsible and respectable citizen and contribute equally for the development and betterment of the society. Lauding the role of private sector in education field, the Minister said that private institutes are playing important role in spreading quality education and supplementing the Government efforts and stressed for providing moral education and involving children in co-curricular activities to ensure their overall fitness and personality development.

Choudhary Lal Singh exhorted upon students to work hard to pursue their dreams and play positive role in nation building . He also appeal students to refrain from drugs and make positive use of mobile for education and acquiring latest knowledge in multiple fields. The Minister also asked the management to “adopt under privileged children of the area so that they can also get access to the facility.(KNO)
