Four militants killed in Rajouri Gunfight | KNO

As many as four militants have been killed in an ongoing gunfight with the government forces in Sunderbani area of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.

The gunfight began today morning in Ravarian Talla village, around one kilometre from Sunderbani township, after militants opened fire on a search party of the forces. The identity of the slain militants was being ascertained till last reports reached here.

A senior police officer talking to Kashmir News Burea on the basis of anonymity said, the gunfight is going on, adding, four militants have been killed in the gunfight. Earlier, speaking to reporters near the site of the gunfight, SSP Rajouri Yougal Manhas said that at least two militants have been surrounded by the forces.

“The information is preliminary in nature,” he said. Before the gunfight, the forces recovered bags containing ammunition and explosive material during searches in the area indicating the government forces the presence of militants.
