Govt anti-people policies responsible of rise in militancy in Kashmir : Akbar Lone | KNO

Senior National Conference (NC) leader and MLA Sonawari Mohammad Akbar Lone today said that PDP and BJP are responsible for the current situation in the Valley. While talking to PTK he said that the rise in the militancy is an outcome of anti-people and wrong policies of the State government led by PDP which have led to the isolation of the people in Valley and elsewhere in the State.

He added that everyone is feeling choked because the political system has failed to deliver. “The youth are looking at the nation very carefully and because they are educated, they first become militant in their minds”, he said. He said that they don’t have any other option as Government failed to take care of people of Kashmir which led increasing militancy day by day. He added that the number of local youths joining the ranks of militants because of government. They can’t feel what people want from this government.

He further added that the trust deficit with the Centre's politics has resulted in the “radicalization” of youth. The wrong polices of state and centre government make Kashmir’s youth more towards militancy. He added that they (PDP BJP government) are with “head” then how can they run government is state.
