Besides seminars, special prayer sessions, a twitter trend will be started to highlight Dr Aafia Sidique’s resilience, sacrifice: Aasiyeh
Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi, on Thursday said that DeM will be observing March 30 as Youm-e-Aafia (Aafia Day) in solidarity with Dr Aafia Sidique who will complete 15 years in jail as she serves 86-year illegal imprisonment in an American jail. In this regard, Andrabi said, DeM will hold programmes and seminars across Jammu and Kashmir on March 30 and will also start a twitter trend under #wesoluteyourresilience to pay respects and express solidarity with this great scholar and scientist of Muslim Ummah.
“On March 30, the pious and resilient daughter of Islam, Dr Aafia Sidique will complete 15 years in jail. While we will organize seminars and others events in solidarity with Aafia Sidique sahiba, we will also start a twitter trend #AfiyaWeSaluteYourResilience at 8.30 PM on the same day I.e 30th of March to highlight her contribution and sacrifices she has made for the oppressed Muslims,” Andrabi said in a statement.
Andrabi further appealed the Imaams, Ulema and Islamic scholars of Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan to hold special prayers during the Friday congregations for the release of Dr Aafia. “It is also important that the Ulema, Imaams and scholars talk about what measures are to be taken when a Muslimah is under illegal detention of non-Muslims. They should highlight the role and responsibility of Muslim Ummah when their daughters, sisters and mothers are being oppressed and brutalized dishonoured by the infidels,” she added.
“The Islamic scholars should suggest the ways and means to facilitate the release of Dr Aafia Sidique— a pious and resilient daughter of Islam— from the jail of anti-Islam and anti-Muslim America,” she added. She said that the Muslims must remember the decree of beloved Prophet Mohammad (SAW) when a Muslimah is in danger. “Prophet Mohammad (SAW) has made it clear that Jihad becomes mandatory for Muslims when their women are in danger and are being brutalized by the infidels.
Keeping the saying of Prophet Mohammad (SAW) and the case of Dr Aafia Sidique in mind, Jihad has become obligatory and mandatory for Muslims across the world a long ago,” Andrabi added. Remembering the contribution and efforts of Dr Aafia Sidique, Andrabi said that Aafia Sidique, who is a great Islamic woman scholar, scientists and and Hafizah, had committed herself to bring the education system in Pakistan in complete sync with the Qura’anic and Islamic teachings. “She had formulated a syllabus in which she had tried to teach the students scienctific advancements in light of Quranic and Islamic teachings,”
Andrabi said. “Dr Aafia knew that Pakistan— an ideological Islamic nation— is under the sinister watch and surveillance of all non-Muslims countries who never wanted and allowed this Islamic Republic to be run according to that pious ideology. That is the reason, Dr Aafia Sidique, worked on the education system on Pakistan as she knew it was the best way to Islamize this nation,” Andrabi added. She said that America came to know about this and while continuing its anti-Muslim agenda, got Dr Aafia arrested and put her in illegal confinement for 86 years. Andrabi further said it is thanklessness if respect is not paid to the great men and women who sacrifice everything for elevating the status and for showing the right direction to its people.
“Dr Aafia is a great example of resilience, sacrifice and her efforts to help the Muslim Ummah come out of oppression and follow the path as shown by the Prophet Mohammad (SAW) are immense.” “We are doing a little to remember this great daughter of Islam by observing March 30 as Youm-e-Aafia and we request every Muslim in JK and across the world to hold special prayers so that the Almighty Allah SAW makes her release from illegal imprisonment possible and also destroys America’s'yahood' hanood and every anti-Muslim country’s sinister policies meant to harm us,” Andrabi added.
