Foundation stone of New District Court complex at Bhaderwah laid | KNO

BHADEWRAH,MAR 30 (KNO) : As a part of infrastructural development for the smooth functioning of judiciary in the State, Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar today laid foundation stone of new District Court Complex at Srana ,Bhaderwah in the presence of Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey, who is Administrative Judge for the District and Justice Janak Raj Kotwal.

The proposed complex will be constructed over a land of 27 kanals to accommodate the Court of Principal District and Sessions Judge and all subordinate courts under one roof. The total cost of the project has been estimated to Rs. 33 .15 crore by the Roads and Building department , which is executing agency.The District & Sessions Judge,Bhaderwah and Executive Engineer R&B Bhaderwah briefed the Chief Justice about the features of the project.

They briefed the Chief Justice about the lay out plan with display of drawings as well as pictures of the proposed court complex.Chief Justice instructed the concerned officers to work on construction of the district Court Complex expeditiously and use quality material in this ambitious project. The new complex will have 6 spacious court rooms, lawyers’ chambers, mediation center, conference hall and separate parking for judges and lawyers .

Earlier, the Chief Justice inspected the working of courts in the district and directed the judicial officers to ensure speedy disposal of cases of all nature.Earlier, on reaching at old Court complex , the Chief Justice was also accorded guard of honour by the contingents of J&K Police.District Bar Association Bhaderwah led by its president Advocate Dawinder Gupta also submitted a memorandum of demands to CJ which included establishment of Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bench at Bhaderwah keeping in view the merit , historical background , seniority and availability of land in the area .(KNO)
