BHADERWAH,MAR 31 (KNO) : In spite of number of subsequent orders, notifications & SRO's issued from State Government of Jammu & Kashmir, the authorities in Bhaderwah town of Doda district have failed to curb down the menace of all those private schools functioning illegally without providing healthy infrastructure to the students studying in these private schools. Sources within the education sector, over 36 of Private schools are granted recognition up to primary and middle standard in Bhaderwah zone .

"It is unfortunate for all those students who seek admission unknowingly about the recognition in the nearby private schools and even continued to higher classes till 5th or 8th standards. Although these schools have no authority to continue higher classes beyond the recognition or permission they are granted for, they added.Alleging a nexus, sources said this type of illegal practice is continued without any interruption by the education mafia in Bhaderwah which is alive due to connivance of the education department in who are running private schools.

Citing example from Bhaderwah , a private school functioning at Sartingal , Bhaderwah recognized upto 5th standard is running its classes' upto 7th standard by clubbing its students to a school functioning in Bhaderwah . Opening a school in Bhaderwah has now become a popular business, claims to the contrary about doing it for the sake of producing a ‘educated individual ,’ being just that — claims — and nothing else.Sources said many private schools functioning in Bhaderwah zone recognized up to 5th standard with permission to run classes 6th is running classes' up to 8th std by clubbing its students to a Middle School functioning in Bhaderwah .

All students who are unknowingly become a part of these illegal & unauthorized schools are compelled to appear by the BOSE authorities to other area which may by 10 to 15 kms away from their school in which they have been admitted. Here it needs to mention that Jammu & Kashmir government has realized that number of students in the Govt. schools are declining day by day and it came to fore that Govt employees especially employed with education department got themselves adjusted in the area where they have set up their own private schools.

This is all done with the proper patronage from the concerned ZEO's, CEO's & all concerned.Meantime common masses including parents feel that Govt should launch a campaign by awaking the innocent students exploited by this education mafia as it has seen in Bhaderwah .Not only this Bhaderwah is only place in erstwhile Doda district where school vehicles have been blatantly flouting norms as there is no yellow color bus and other vehicle available , while the school authorities continue to turn a blind eye towards the violations. It is notable to mention here that long back when there was no mushroom growth of private schools in Bhaderwah , Government Schools used to provide a platform of social inclusion and equality.

But the present scenario is entirely different. These schools have become hub of social inequalities and injustice. This is the fundamental problem with our public schools which needs immediate attention. Many attempts were made to contact Chief Education Officer Doda Mohd Sharief but his cell phone was coming not reachable .(KNO)
