Govt to bring more reforms to further improve health care system : Asiea | KNO

JAMMU MARCH 31 (KNO) : The Minister of State for Health & Medical Education, Housing & Urban Development, and Social Welfare, Power Development and Industries & Commerce, Asiea Naqash, Saturday said that government has accorded top priority to health sector and requisite steps are underway to further improve the healthcare delivery system across the State.

The Minister said this during her inspection of Primary Health Centre (PHC) Jagti, here today. The Minister held a detailed meeting with the hospital authorities and discussed the facilities available in the hospital. She was apprised about the problems hampering smooth office functioning. The Minister directed the concerned authorities to ensure that all requisite medicare facilities are kept available in the hospital. She also directed for early redressal of the genuine problems of the employees.

The Minister directed for the special audit of the records of PHC, Jagti. On the occasion, the locals of the Jagti apprised the minister with demands for strengthening the basic infrastructure in the PHC. She gave patient hearing to them and assured that the genuine issues will be addressed in a time bound manner.

The Minister interacted with the staff and the patients and enquired about the facilities being provided in the centre. She directed concerned to extend their services with utmost zeal and dedication to uphold the dignity of this noble profession. The meeting was attended by Relief Commissioner, A K Raina, CMO Jammu, Sanjay Turkey, besides other senior concerned officials.(KNO)
