Says innocent civilian killings cause behind deteriorating situation

Srinagar April. 4 (KNO) : Congress today strongly condemned the killing of young Gowher Ahmad Rather (Kangan) due to fire Arm Injury and expressed profound grief over the loss of precious life, urging that bloodshed in valley must end in the larger interests of peace, as that, innocent civilian killings will remain the cause behind deteriorating situation.

Congress also asked the Govt to provide full compensation to family of Gowher Ahmad Rather and other civilians killed due to firing. In a statement issued to Press, the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Spokesperson expressed profound grief over the killing of young Gowher Ahmad Rather, who lost his life due to fire Arm injury, as reported and strongly condemned the innocent killing. The unabated civilian killings and injuries to hundreds will remain the cause behind deteriorating situation saying that ruling dispensation in the State cannot escape the responsibility of loss of precious lives in Kashmir Valley.

The Spokesperson lashed out at the both State and Centre Govt for failing to ensure safety of people. It is ultimately the common people who have been braving the brunt worsening situation, he said. The situation has worsened to a greater extent due to the mis-governance and misrule on the Part of PDP BJP Govt, besides the lackadaisical attitude on the part of Centre Govt with regard to Kashmir situation has further added chaos to the situation.

The Spokesperson termed the non-serious attitude of the Centre as criminal and urged that Centre needs to take effective measures to contain the situation, besides ensuring safety of civilians. Meanwhile Senior Congress Leaders Shiekh Aijaz (Kangan) has strongly concerned the killings of Gowher Ahmad Rather and demanded stern action against the personnel responsible for killing the young boy. Shiekh Aijaz expressed deep sorrow over the loss of deceased and offered condolences to bereaved family. He also sympathized with them.(KNO)
