Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi, on Wednesday welcomed the announcement by Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, to send envoys to six important capitals to highlight Indian brutalities in Indian occupied Kashmir. Addressing the joint meeting of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Council and legislative assembly in Muzaffarabad, the Pakistani premier said Indian forces not only targeted unarmed civilians but also attacked those participating in funeral prayers.

He also said that the people and all political parties will continue to vigorously provide moral, diplomatic and political support to the Kashmir cause. “ The martyrdom of our 20 youth has once again brought the Kashmir issue in the world focus. Everyone is denouncing the barbarity being committed by Indian forces on innocent Kashmiri Muslims,” Andrabi said in a statement. She said that Pakistan, who is an important stakeholder in the Kashmir issue, too has taken some steps to highlight and expose Indian brutalities in Kashmir.

“ Pakistan has declared to observe April 6 as Kashmir solidarity day and today’s announcement made by Shahid Khaqan Abbassi sahib that Pakistan will be sending special envoys to capitals of six major countries to garner support for Kashmiris’ to get their right to self-determination and pressure India to end its brutalities here is another welcome step,” she added. “We had already asked them to establish a strong diplomatic front and today’s announcement by the Pak PM is a right step towards that. Pakistan has to make its diplomatic front stronger as far as Kashmir issue is concerned.

This is the responsibility of Pakistan and if it fulfils its responsibility effectively, India will have to bow Kashmir issue will be resolved very soon,” she added. She said that India is a stubborn and a shameless country. “ It is very difficult to pressurize India into giving Kashmiris their right to self-determination. Equally shameless and selfish are their puppets in Kashmir who, for staying in power, have ignored and continue to ignore the massacre of our young generation,” she added. “ So Pakistan has to take it seriously and has to make its diplomatic front stronger than ever so that it can persuade the world into pressurizing India to give Kashmiris their right to choose their own future,” she added. Meanwhile, a DeM spokesperson said that despite restrictions and curfew imposed by the occupying forces, a delegation led by the party’s south Kashmir Nazimah managed to reach Shopian and expressed sympathies and solidarity with the families of the martyrs.

She said that during the meeting with the family members of the martyrs, DeM chairperson also addressed a gathering at the residence of Shaheed Aitemad Fayaz. Andrabi, while condemning the US’s move to ban Milli Muslim League (MML) and Tehreek-e-Azadi-e-Kashmir, said that Pakistan must do something to stop this dangerous trend. “These aggressive and farcical moves by US are very dangerous and Pakistan shouldn't entertain or acknowledge such things and shouldn’t allow anyone to meddle in internal issues,” she added. Government of Pakistan must remember that in the holy Qura’an, the Allah SWT has clearly said it that no matter what you do, the infidels cannot become your friends. If Pakistan budges before this US’s decision, it will be very dangerous not only for the Kashmir cause, but to the very idea of Pakistan. May the Allah SWT forbid us from doing such a thing,” she added. During her address, the spokesperson said, Andrabi Sahiba while expressing her sympathies also hailed the resilience and their commitment of the families of these martyrs towards to Kashmir cause.

“ Andrabi sahiba said that the nation cannot remain slave for long which has so brave and resilient heirs of martyrs. Asking your sons to face the enemy with bravery and valor and not to budge before the enemies of Islam and Muslims is matter of great commitment and something to be proud of. InshaAllah, with such resilience and commitment, we will soon be free from Indian occupation and will join Pakistan and form a country based on the pure Islamic ideology and establish the rule of the Almighty Allah,” she added. The spokesperson also said that a delegation of DeM led by the district president Srinagar reached Kangan and expressed solidarity with the family members of Gowhar Ahmad. “ The delegation while expressing sympathies and solidarity with the family members of Gowhar told them that his blood will never go waste and very soon, InshaAllah, Kashmir will be free from illegal and brutal occupation,” she added (KNO)
