Checking squads inspect business establishments, booked defaulters | KNO

JAMMU, APRIL 06 (KNO) : On the directions of Director FCS&CA, a special checking squad headed by Assistant Director Enforcement FCS&CA, Joginder Singh along with inspectors, Raman Kumar, Yogesh Kumar, Prithipal Singh and Dewan Singh conducted the market checking.

The team conducted extensive checking of areas including Gujjar Nagar, Residency Road, Kanak Mandi and Raghunath Bazar. 112 business establishments were inspected and 17 defaulters were booked for violating various rules of Essential Commodities Act 1955 and LPG Control Order 2010, with on the spot realization of fine of Rs. 17300/- from the defaulters.

Besides, all business establishments were given strict directions to display the rate lists in bold letters at conspicuous places of their establishments and not to indulge in any type of unfair trade practice/overcharging failing of which the FIR against the defaulters shall be lodged in the concerned police station.(KNO)
