Chief Secretary reviews preparations for conduct of upcoming exams by JKSSB | KNO

JAMMU, APRIL 9 (KNO) : Chief Secretary, B B Vyas on Monday chaired a video conference with DCs to review the preparations in regard to the upcoming exams being conducted by the Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) in the month of April and May, 2018, for recruitment of candidates to various posts in the Government including in School Education and Revenue departments. Principal Secretary, Home, Director General of Police, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Commissioner, Secretary, GAD, ADGP, Security, IGP, Jammu, Chairman, JKSSB and other senior officers were present, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, IGP, Kashmir and other senior officers participated through video conferencing.

As many as 4 Lakh candidates will sit for these exams from across the state, for which examination centres have been kept in the districts of Srinagar, Budgam, Baramulla, Ganderbal, Anantnag, Jammu, Samba and Udhampur. Chairman, JKSSB presented an activity-based chart covering all key aspects related to the smooth and transparent conduct of these exams including packing/custody/security/transportation/movement of the exam material, appointment and deployment of Superintendents/invigilators/observers and security/monitoring in and around exam centres. Calling upon all the stakeholders to ensure smooth, transparent and incident free exams, Chief Secretary asked the concerned DCs to constitute teams comprising officers of civil/police department and assigning each member dedicated tasks and responsibilities.

Chief Secretary directed that the task should be taken up in mission mode by all the stakeholders to ensure the conduct of exam in a flawless manner. He also emphasized on joint touring of the exam centres/halls during exam days by DCs/SSPs and other senior officers besides video coverage in and around exam centres.
