Intermittent rains to lash Kashmir till Thursday, predicts MeT | KNO

The intermittent rains continue to lash Valley since Sunday afternoon while the local Meteorological department has predicted more rains for the next few days. Officials in the MeT informed that as per the prediction the weather conditions would remain same till Apr 12.

“The intermittent rains would continue across the valley till Apr 12. There would be occasional sunshine as well,” the MeT official informed. He said that there is a possibility of snowfall in the higher reaches as well. “There won’t be any snowfall in plains but the higher reaches of the valley may experience a fresh snowfall till Apr 12,” he informed. Meanwhile, the intermittent rains since Sunday afternoon have caused water logging in several city areas, resulting in immense hardships to the pedestrians.

The locals said that the water logging caused due to the intermittent rains has resulted in immense hardships to them and appealed the concerned Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) to look into the matter and redress their grievances at an earliest.
